Gallagher announces latest acquisition

12 July 2022

Gallagher has acquired National Insurance Group, based in Torquay, Victoria.

The brokerage, which was founded in 2015 by Chris Park, has a broad range of Victorian clients and also operates in Tasmania.

“The business has a strong record of growth on the back of excellent relationship building and a focus on client experience,” Gallagher said today.

“The deal will open up Gallagher’s geographic reach in Victoria’s Surf Coast with significant opportunities to grow with local businesses in that region.”

The business will use the Gallagher brand and the Torquay office will become one of Gallagher’s more than 30 branches across Australia. The Tasmanian team will work from the existing Gallagher branch in Launceston.

“I’m delighted to welcome Chris Park and the National Insurance Group team to Gallagher,” Gallagher Australia CEO Sarah Lyons said.

“We’ve known Chris for some time, and he’s a highly successful and respected insurance professional who shares many of the values and ambitions we as a company hold. I’m delighted he decided to join Gallagher.”
