Fortitude Re has announced a donation of $250,000 to the Educational Arts Team, a nonprofit organization in Jersey City.

Established in 1974, the Educational Arts Team provides arts programs that combine drama, visual arts, and music for K-12 students. The programs aim to enhance academic performance, social-emotional development, and overall well-being.

Fortitude Re has a history of financial support for the Educational Arts Team, and its employees also volunteer throughout the year. They assist with after-school and summer camp programs, community workshops, and other local activities.

Sean Coyle, chief operating officer of Fortitude Re, emphasized the importance of arts education in developing creativity, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.

“We are proud to help the Educational Arts Team continue their vital work that is cultivating the next generation of innovators and leaders,” Coyle said.

Roxy Arrojo, executive director of the Educational Arts Team, acknowledged the contribution, noting that it allows the organization to continue expanding its mission.

“By delivering literacy, social emotional learning and sustainability programs through arts-based lessons, we equip children with essential tools for success and we improve our corner of the world. It has been a joy to witness Fortitude Re and its volunteers in action, passionate about making a difference,” Arrojo said.

Fortitude Re manages approximately $101 billion in general and separate account insurance reserves and administers over 4 million insurance policies.
