Floodmapp to host March webinar

6 March 2023

Brisbane-based startup Floodmapp will host a webinar showcasing how timely intelligence is changing the way emergency crews manage flood events.

CEO & Co-Founder Juliette Murphy and Chief Customer Officer Bruce Grady will present the “Flood intelligence – the gift of time” webinar, to be held at 1pm AEDT on March 8.

“Join us to learn how real-time flood intelligence accelerates the speed of informed decision-making for community safety and asset protection, delivers a common operating picture, … optimises accuracy and safety of resource deployment into disaster zones, and supports emergency managers before, during and after a flood.”

Floodmapp – which has clients spread across Australia and the US – can predict flooding at a granular, street level in real time, providing the technology in real flood events. Its ForeCast product has successfully been used to plan evacuations, and NowCast has helped drivers navigate flooded roads in real time.

The high-tech mapping can inform decisions ranging from knowing which properties for emergency crews to door-knock, which insureds are impacted, and when waters have receded to commence clean-up and assessment, Floodmapp says.
