Fidelity Life appoints head of group insurance

Fidelity Life has appointed Anita Los’e (pictured above) as head of group insurance, effective Sept. 19.

In this role, Los’e will be responsible for fostering key corporate relationships and leading a cross-functional team that serves Fidelity Life’s group insurance employees and employers.

She has more than 18 years’ experience in the financial services sector in both New Zealand and Australia. Across her career, she has worked in claims, dispute resolution, broking, employee benefit consulting and compliance. Most recently, Los’e was Aon’s national manager of employee benefits, a role she held for five years. There, she managed a team of 14 broking staff and a portfolio with around 400 corporate clients.

Prior to Aon, Los’e was compliance officer at Marsh and employee benefits consultant at Mercer.

“Anita is very highly regarded in the industry and a strategic thinker,” said Bronwyn Kirwan, Fidelity Life chief sales and service officer. “With a strong record of commercial and operational execution, I have no doubt she’ll help drive Fidelity Life’s Group portfolio to new heights. The head of group insurance is an increasingly important role for us. Group insurance schemes are more relevant than ever as businesses grapple with the talent shortage and are looking at their employee value propositions, including benefits. With Anita’s broad industry experience and knowledge, she’ll bring a holistic view and will be integral to the wider business as we continue with our transformation strategy and work to help more New Zealanders get protected.”
