Global specialty re/insurer Fidelis Insurance has announced the appointment of Jason Kittinger (pictured above) as group chief operating officer.

Kittinger has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Before joining Fidelis, he held various senior roles at Arch Insurance International, including chief operating officer and chief financial officer.

He also served on boards at Arch in the UK, Ireland, and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Samford University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Based in London, Kittinger will report to Fidelis Insurance Group CEO Dan Burrows and will be a part of the company’s senior leadership team.

“Jason brings a wealth of experience and has a proven track record in financial leadership and operational excellence. I am excited for Jason to apply his knowledge and expertise to Fidelis Insurance Group, which will further strengthen our operating processes,” Burrows said.

Burrows also acknowledged the contributions of Denise Brown-Brach, who has served as both the UK chief executive officer and group chief operating officer since 2023. With Kittinger’s appointment, Brown-Brach will focus on her role as UK CEO.

Kittinger will be responsible for improving operational efficiency and driving performance improvements across the Fidelis Insurance Group, aspects that the firm hopes to improve.

It is worth noting that last month, the re/insurance group noted a steep decline in net income compared to the same period last year.
