FCA engaging with BIBA brokers at The BIBA Conference

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has confirmed that the FCA will be attending the BIBA Conference for a second consecutive year, continuing BIBA’s strong relationship with the regulator.

The FCA will have an exhibition stand (F94) and will aim to see several hundred brokers over the two days as they did in 2024.

Lisa Sturley, Head of Insurance at the FCA said: “We really welcome the opportunity to have a stand at BIBA Conference again this year. It’s always great to connect with BIBA members – your views help shape regulation and make it better. Please do come and say hello – there will be a senior team on hand to answer any questions you have about our work.”

Lisa will also be joining BIBA’s Head of Compliance, Julie Comer, and other panel members on the Seminar stage on Thursday, to discuss the subject of ‘A New Era for regulation’.

Graeme Trudgill BIBA CEO commented: “Regulation is a central part of our 2025 Manifesto, and I am pleased to welcome back the FCA both on the stage and on their stand with their senior team to help answer members’ queries. This is A New Era for our relations with the regulator as we work constructively with them on a plan to deliver proportionate regulation and growth.

“Don’t miss this opportunity to catch up with the regulator in the exhibition hall where you can meet the team, including Matt Brewis, and ask them questions throughout the event.”

The BIBA Conference is free for all staff of BIBA member broking firms, and non-BIBA member brokers get free entry to the Exhibition and Fringe. Register at thebibaconference.org.uk
