DWF Group, a global provider of legal and business services, has completed its acquisition of Proclaim, an Australian claims management company.

This transaction marks a significant expansion of DWF’s claims management and adjusting (CMA) operations in Australia, a market noted for its importance to the Lloyd’s sector, ranking fourth globally behind the US, the UK, and Canada.

What is Proclaim?

Founded in 1999 by Jon Broome, Proclaim operates from offices in Melbourne and Sydney with a team of 60.

The firm is recognised as a key player in claims management for the London market and is known for its services to Australian insurers.

DWF said it aims to leverage this acquisition to enhance its presence in Australia’s insurance industry, with a particular focus on claims management services.

“Proclaim’s outstanding reputation and expertise align perfectly with our vision, and should everything progress as planned, we look forward to welcoming them in the near future,” he said.

Jon Broome, who will continue to serve as managing director of Proclaim post-acquisition, highlighted the significance of the partnership such as enabling the company to take its services to the next level and provide new opportunities for its clients.

“We are very proud of the business we have built over 25 years and the market leadership position we have reached in insurance claims management,” he said.

DWF anticipates that the acquisition will not only enhance its claims management portfolio but also create synergies with its legal teams, particularly in expanding its insurance-focused legal practices in Sydney, Melbourne, and other key Australian cities.

The company expects a seamless integration and opportunities to collaborate with Proclaim’s existing client base.

The deal is a strategic step in DWF’s broader plans to grow its global footprint in the insurance and claims management sectors. The firm is focused on expanding its capabilities across multiple jurisdictions, strengthening its offerings for clients worldwide.
