DOXA Insurance has acquired specialty managing general agent CPH Insurance, which caters to the professional liability needs of mental health, allied health, and healthcare professionals.

Founded by Phil Hodson in 2000, Chicago-based CPH Insurance launched its first online quote in 2008 and now sells most of its policies digitally through straight-through-processing technology. It serves more than 250,000 insureds across the US.

“Building this organization from the ground up allowed us to make the right decisions for the clients we work to protect,” noted Hodson, who holds the position of president. “Partnering with DOXA allows us to maintain autonomy while gaining additional insurance industry experience and back-office support.

“We are excited to work with DOXA as we grow our footprint in the marketplace and expand our product offerings.”

Meanwhile, Matt Sackett, chief executive and co-founder of DOXA, commented: “We are pleased to partner with CPH Insurance, an organization with vast specialized expertise in allied health. Everyone at DOXA looks forward to working with the team at CPH Insurance as they continue to grow and offer new solutions to allied health professionals.”

DOXA stressed that it plans to support CPH Insurance as it develops its existing portfolio further and rolls out additional products for its clients.
