Davies snaps up claims management platform

Davies, a specialist professional services and technology firm that serves the insurance industry and highly regulated markets, has announced that it has acquired Quick Internet Software Solutions, known as ClaimPilot, a provider of claims management software for third-party administrators, independent adjusters and self-insured entities.

Texas-based ClaimPilot’s web-based software-as-a-service platform can be integrated with insurers’ systems and offers personalized claims tracking and reporting solutions. Through ClaimPilot’s Lloyd’s reporting capability, users can report specific data on risks and claims transacted under contracts and syndicates, Davies said.

ClaimPilot will join Davies global technology unit. ClaimPilot president and CEO David Quick will continue to lead the business, reporting to Jason Wolf, senior vice president of technology at Davies. All ClaimPilot employees will continue in their current roles.

“I am delighted to welcome ClaimPilot to Davies,” said Dan Saulter, group CEO at Davies. “As one of the early creators of web-based claims management software in the US, and a longstanding advocate for digitization within the insurance industry, ClaimPilot will strengthen both the solutions and experience we can offer our insurance clients globally.”

“I’m really pleased that ClaimPilot is joining Davies,” Quick said. “Our shared focus on innovation and exceptional service makes this a strong union to help the insurance community navigate increasingly complex challenges. I look forward to working with Dan and the wider Davies team to develop and strengthen our claims solutions for our clients.”

ClaimPilot is Davies’ latest acquisition. In September, the company acquired Johns Eastern Company, a Florida-based TPA. In December 2021, it acquired Merlinos & Associates, an actuarial and consulting business.
