Cornerstone Risk Group announces amalgamation

Cornerstone Risk Group has announced an amalgamation with Queensland based Total Insurance Agencies. The combination of the two businesses follows three recent Cornerstone acquisitions.

“The team from Total Insurance Agencies will integrate smoothly into our business, working across both our Toowoomba and Brisbane CBD offices,” said Cornerstone’s director, Scott Mitchell in a media release. “Their expertise and strong focus within the transport and mobile plant space is a fantastic fit for our existing business.”

Both Cornerstone and Total Insurance are authorised representatives (ARs) of Resilium Insurance Broking. Total Insurance has offices in Strathpine and Toowoomba.

“Joining forces with Cornerstone Risk Group is really exciting for us and we’re pleased to continue working with our existing transport and heavy motor insurance clients but as part of a larger group,” said Total Insurance director, Loretta Hartley, who has a decade of experience with her firm.

Earlier this month, Cornerstone announced the acquisition of Toowoomba based PMA Trilogy Insurance Solutions. According to its website, Trilogy offers a range of commercial and domestic insurance products including cyber, construction and commercial strata.

In September, the firm acquired Central Highlands Insurance Services (CHIS) in Emerald, Central Queensland. In October, Cornerstone finalised a deal to purchase Brisbane based SureFinity Insurance Brokers.

The releases describe Cornerstone as offering “a full insurance solution to clients across Australia” and “renowned for taking on tough risks.”
