Chubb Life New Zealand has announced a series of enhancements, including the addition of a new continuous trauma benefit.

The insurer will provide continuous coverage of up to four times the trauma cover sum insured, explained Simon Tohill (pictured), general manager of strategy and marketing at Chubb Life New Zealand.

“Serious illness or injuries can strike unexpectedly, and – unfortunately – they can happen more than once,” Tohill said. “With this new benefit in place, customers can retain their trauma cover after an initial claim for future unrelated conditions, providing them with peace of mind that they’ll have financial support to pay for treatment and any other costs that may arise.”

Chubb Life NZ has also enhanced a series of benefits and medical definitions under its Assurance Extra and Assurance Extra Business policies, to provide customers with additional support. These include extending the complimentary children’s benefit under its trauma cover from ages 19 to 24. This carries the option to convert it to a standalone trauma cover at age 24, without additional medical underwriting.

“By extending the age of cover and making it easier to continue this protection into adulthood, we hope this provides worry-free assurance to parents that their children will be covered not only now but in the long-term,” added Tohill.

One of the country’s leading insurance providers, Chubb Life NZ offers life, income protection, critical illness and business insurance products.
