CGU to kick new broker development series off next week

1 September 2022

CGU will on Tuesday host the first of a series of broker development sessions focusing on the changing world of work, industry issues, product trends and economic factors impacting the insurance sector.

The national “STRIVE” series kicks off in Sydney, followed by Brisbane on September 14, Adelaide October 18, Melbourne October 20 and Perth October 25. Each session includes a Q&A with CGU’s leadership team.

EGM Damien Gallagher says CGU will share insights from a range of subject experts across the business and the leadership team is looking forward to touring the nation and re-engaging with their broker partners after a two-year hiatus from hosting broker development events.

“It’s a challenging economic environment for people and businesses across the country. We all need to demonstrate the value we can bring to our customers and partners,” he said.

“We’re dedicated to elevating the role of brokers as trusted advisers and seek to increase the value we’re delivering by supporting brokers’ conversations with their customers on these critical topics.”

The National Insurance Brokers Association (NIBA) will allocate 3.5 points to attendees, who will also receive CGU’s STRIVE Report research paper which assesses social and economic trends and provides guidance to brokers around measures their clients must take to mitigate risks from climate change.
