Centene names chief people officer


Centene Corporation has announced the appointment of Tanya McNally (pictured above) as senior vice president and chief people officer.

In her new role, McNally will lead the company’s human resources function while continuing to grow management programs focused on developing and retaining Centene’s more than 74,000 employees, the company said.

“I look forward to Tanya’s leadership and continued success in promoting talent growth and innovation,” said Sarah M. London, CEO of Centene. “Tanya brings a wealth of experience to the leadership team and believes in the profound impact our workforce has on driving our mission to improve the health of our communities, one person at a time.”

McNally has served as regional vice president of human resources at Centene since 2022, joining the company through its acquisition of WellCare. Prior to that, she served as vice president of human resources at WellCare for nearly a decade. McNally has also held senior HR roles at Citigroup and Lehman Brothers.

Centene was recently ranked the world’s second-largest insurer by net premiums written. It was also ranked the fourth-largest health insurer in the US.
