CBN subsidiary acquires Victorian broker

Community Broker Network (CBN) subsidiary CIS Community Insurance Solutions has acquired Spencer Thomas & Partners, a brokerage in Hamilton, Victoria.

CIS Community Insurance Solutions says the investment will enable the business to grow its presence across regional Victoria.

The acquisition gives the business an office in Hamilton in addition to the headquarters in Bendigo.

“CIS is committed to providing [Spencer Thomas & Partners] clients the same outstanding service, specialist advice and quality insurance solutions from brokers in the heart of their local communities,” the business says.

Spencer Thomas & Partners retiring principal and MD Jeff Spencer will continue working in the business as part of the post-acquisition transition plan.

CIS Community Insurance Solutions is also a CBN authorised representative. CBN acquired it last year from Bendigo and Adelaide Bank.
