Wholesale insurance broker and underwriting manager Burns & Wilcox has appointed Lynn Patino (pictured) as managing director of its Houston office while revealing plans to enhance the company’s presence in the Houston metropolitan area by establishing a second office in The Woodlands.

Patino brings more than one and a half decades of industry experience to Burns & Wilcox. Starting out as a carrier underwriter, she subsequently held brokerage positions at Marsh, Alliant, and Aon. The key hire is a specialist in large global property placements, most recently heading Aon’s south region middle market practice.

“Houston is a thriving city with a robust excess & surplus insurance market that increasingly demands the innovative solutions Burns & Wilcox delivers,” stated Bob Quillman, regional vice president for Texas at Burns & Wilcox.

“Lynn is well equipped to step in and immediately spark additional growth for our Houston team, along with aggressively recruiting top talent who will work from our new office in The Woodlands as well as our existing Houston location.”

The new office is slated to open later this year.

Quillman further noted: “Under Lynn’s leadership, we expect our two Houston offices to be among the fastest growing across Burns & Wilcox.

“Our two locations will enable Burns & Wilcox to serve clients across Houston’s sprawling geography while serving as an even more attractive destination for outstanding professionals that share our passion and competitive fire for this business.”
