Burns & Wilcox expands leadership team with key appointments

Both are part of the firm’s ongoing global expansion

Wholesale brokerage Burns & Wilcox has announced the appointments of Larry Paulaski (pictured above, left) as regional vice president for the Southwest region and Brett Faustman (pictured above, right) as managing director for Michigan.

Burns & Wilcox highlighted these additions as aligning with the company’s ongoing expansion efforts across North America and internationally.

Paulaski will oversee operations in the Burns & Wilcox offices located in Los Angeles, San Diego, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale. He will be based in Arizona and report to Rich Gobler, senior vice president for the Western US.

Paulaski brings over 20 years of experience, having held various regional leadership positions at Liberty Mutual. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Fairmont State University and a master’s degree from West Virginia University.

In his new role as managing director for Michigan, Faustman will manage the company’s offices in Metro Detroit and Grand Rapids. He will report to Bryant Steele, regional vice president for the Midwest.

Faustman has a background in production and leadership roles at Zurich North America, Federated Insurance, Ally Financial, and Arrowhead Insurance. He holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Central Michigan University.

Danny Kaufman, president of Burns & Wilcox, said that the company’s independent, family-owned structure and financial stability continue to attract top talent in the industry.

“In Larry and Brett, we are adding two outstanding professionals whose leadership will play a fundamental role in extending our competitive advantage,” Kaufman said.

The first half of 2024 saw a significant increase in senior leadership and producer hires at Burns & Wilcox, with numbers up more than 50%. The company also reported a revenue increase of over 20% compared to the previous year.

Burns & Wilcox also recently announced the appointment of Lynn Patino as managing director of its Houston office while revealing plans to enhance the company’s presence in the Houston metropolitan area by establishing a second office in The Woodlands.
