Brokerslink expands with new Middle East affiliate

Brokerslink has added UAE-based Associated Insurance Consultants (AIC) as an affiliate of its global network – a move that expands Brokerslink’s footprint in eight Middle Eastern countries.

AIC was established in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2001, and it is now headquartered in Abu Dhabi. The company operates in 13 countries across the Middle East, and it will now represent Brokerslink in Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Jordan.

“We are very pleased to announce the further expansion of Brokerslink into the Middle East through our newest global affiliate, AIC,” said José Manuel Fonseca, chairman and founder of Brokerslink. “Their knowledge and expertise of working with local brokers throughout eight countries in the Middle East will be a significant asset to Brokerslink.”

Since joining AIC as CEO in 2007, Walid Nehme has helped grow the company to 156 employees, serving over 30,000 clients with US$58 million in annual premiums.

AIC’s core offering includes property, casualty, marine, engineering, and employee benefits. It also has life and non-life personal lines business and specialty lines, such as bloodstock, cyber and political risks.

“I am looking forward to working with the other companies within the Brokerslink network,” Nehme said. “This represents a strong opportunity to build new business partnerships for AIC and add value and opportunities for the network across the Middle East.”
