Brokerslink adds six tech firms to international network

Global broking business Brokerslink has welcomed six technology firms to its international network as part of its new B.tech program.

The program, which aligns with Brokerslink’s goal to enter a “new era of digitalisation,” enabled BWD (digital transformation), KYND (cyber security), Innovagency (digital experience), Inovretail (data science provider), IT Power (business process and claims management), and Lightico (customer experience) to become the first non-broking or risk consulting firms to join Brokerslink’s international network since its creation in 2004.

Called “B.tech affiliates,” the firms will bring the benefits of their areas of niche expertise and technology solutions – such as user experience, operational efficiency, data interpretation, and cybersecurity assessment, among others – to Brokerslink’s network.

Anne Collette, business development & partnerships director at Brokerslink, has welcomed the six founding members of the B.tech programme.

She added: “As we move forward into a new age of insurance brokerage, the pressing need for organisations to become strongly digitalised has become self-evident. The Covid pandemic has accentuated this need; those who choose not to evolve in this space will almost certainly be left behind. To facilitate this transition, Brokerslink has expanded its network diversity through the integration of InsurTech and technology firms.”

José Manuel Fonseca, founder and chairman of Brokerslink, said the global broking business carefully chose the new affiliates for their niche technical expertise and what they can bring to the table.

“We are always looking at new ways to provide our partners and affiliates with innovative solutions to the demands of broking today. Bringing in what I hope will be the first of many tech affiliates to the network is a logical step in this ongoing endeavour,” Fonseca continued. “Their new insights will, I am sure, provide genuine added value to the network.”
