BrokerLink has swooped for Alberta-based Broker Age Corporation, which encompasses Broker Age General Insurance Inc. and Whitecourt Insurance Ltd., and has also acquired W.N. Atkinson Insurance Limited in Ontario.

With these new deals, the Canadian broking giant has made a total of 20 acquisitions this year.

Both acquisitions are intended to amplify its growing reach and service provision across Canada, according to the release.

BrokerLink expands in Alberta and Ontario

Broker Age General Insurance and Whitecourt Insurance have been serving Albertan communities for over a decade. Situated in Grande Prairie and Whitecourt, both brokerages specialize in home, auto, and various business insurance solutions.

Broker Age Corporation, the parent company, has been focused on simplifying intricate insurance processes through awareness-building and educational initiatives.

“We believe that people are at the heart of what we do and we’re here to help our customers as best we can,” said Sheldon Ward and Trevor Sodergren, partners and officers of Broker Age Corporation. “BrokerLink’s purpose is aligned with ours and we trust that our customers will continue receiving exceptional service, while our employees will also benefit through opportunities to grow their careers within BrokerLink.”

In Ontario, family-owned brokerage W.N. Atkinson Insurance Limited has a history dating back to 1929. It provides customers in Mississauga with customized insurance solutions to help them manage personal and commercial risks.

“Another strong year on the acquisition front”

This year, BrokerLink has acquired 20 firms across key regions in Canada, including Alberta, Ontario, and the Atlantic provinces.
