Branch Insurance launches in three new states, D.C

Branch Insurance has announced that it has launched operations in Washington, D.C., Georgia, Massachusetts and Mississippi.

Branch is an insurtech firm that allows customers to instantly bundle home and auto insurance, saving its members an average of $548 annually. It allows customers to bundle home and auto entirely online, enabling Branch to embed its insurance with mortgage companies, auto lenders and home security companies.

“National availability will allow Branch to forge more embedded partnerships and appoint new independent agencies across the country,” said Steve Lekas, co-founder and CEO of Branch. “We’re committed to offering Branch’s seamless experience when and where consumers are shopping: online, when they get a home loan, or with their trusted agent.”

Branch has already inked a number of embedded insurance partnerships across the mortgage, auto and home security industries. The company also continues to expand its independent agency channel.

Expanding our community allows us to better deliver on our mission of making insurance less expensive so more people can be insured,” Lekas said. “We’re thrilled to be able to bring so many more consumers into the Branch community and deliver a seamless experience and deep savings to our members.”

Branch Insurance recently named Thommy Guerrero as its first chief financial officer and appointed Joseph B. Anderson Jr. as an independent director. In June of last year, it raised $147 million in Series C financing.
