bolttech has forged a partnership travel company Trip.com to embed travel insurance into the purchase journey of the latter’s customers.

Through this partnership, Trip.com customers in Hong Kong can now purchase bolttech travel policies directly on Trip.com’s mobile app. This in-app feature not only simplifies the process but also provides policy documents immediately to ensure a hassle-free experience for travellers.

bolttech’s TravelCare insurance is available as both a single-trip option and an annual plan. It offers comprehensive protection, including coverage for leisure and amateur sports activities, mobile phone protection, trip delay and cancellation coverage, and coverage for medical expenses related to COVID-19.

Research has indicated that convenience and user-friendliness are paramount for insurance app users in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. This partnership aims to cater to these needs by allowing Trip.com customers to easily access relevant bolttech Insurance products within the app.

Currently, bolttech offers travel coverage on Trip.com’s mobile app, with plans to introduce home and pet insurance products soon.

“We are proud to collaborate with the fast-growing, global travel platform Trip.com,” bolttech general manager Alister Musgrave said. “This partnership is aligned with our goal to enhance our partners’ offerings and provide customers with more choice, convenience, and protection globally. Together, we will connect Trip.com’s customers to our flagship insurance products and ensure that they are sufficiently covered for their travels.”
