AXA XL appoints Julijana Sumner as Chief Claims Officer for APAC & Europe

AXA XL Insurance today announced the appointment of Julijana Sumner as Chief Claims Officer, APAC & Europe and XL Insurance Company SE (XLICSE), subject to regulatory approvals.

In her new role, Ms. Sumner will be responsible for the delivery of best-in-class claims services across Europe, Asia and Australia, leading the regional Claims function and working closely with AXA XL’s local claims teams.

Ms. Sumner joined AXA XL in 2012 as a Senior Claims Specialist for Financial Lines in Australia after a successful career as a private practice lawyer. During her tenure at AXA XL, she served as a Regional Claims Practice Leader for Financial Lines in APAC, and more recently as Head of Claims for Australia. Ms. Sumner sits on AXA XL’s 2023/2024 Leadership Team Advisory Council.
