AXA Commercial appoints Paul Tombs as Director of SME Intermediary

AXA Commercial has today announced the appointment of Paul Tombs as Director of its SME intermediary business

Paul has extensive experience in the tech and digital trading space and spent 18 years at Zurich

AXA Commercial has today announced the appointment of Paul Tombs (pictured) as Director of its SME intermediary business, starting in the summer.

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance industry, with 18 spent at Zurich working across underwriting, marketing and proposition development. He recently led the insurer’s SME business through a digital transformation and broker service improvements.

Paul has a background of working in the technology and digital space. He was a director of Polaris, a software company owned by the insurance industry with the aim of improving digital trading. He also set up and ran the UK operation of Yarowa, an insurtech company that helps insurers digitise their processes.
