Aviva to open two new trading offices in Chelmsford and Southampton

Aviva is set to open two new regional trading offices in Chelmsford and Southampton to strengthen its regional presence and visibility with brokers and customers.

The Chelmsford and Southampton openings follow the launch of Aviva’s regional trading structure that brought together the core broker-facing disciplines of claims, distribution, and underwriting. Expanding its regional footprint builds on these changes and will drive empowerment in the regions, bringing decision making closer to brokers and customers. The new offices will also increase face-to-face engagement with brokers, improving Aviva’s visibility and responsiveness.

Both new branches will sit in Aviva’s London & South East Region (LSE). The local management team will consist of Alison Coleman, Branch Manager for South-East; Peter Jukes, Regional Broker Development Manager; James Preston, Client Relationship Manager; and Vanessa Millar and Kim Owen, Claims Service Managers. The local management team will lead the Aviva business across all disciplines.

Dave Martin, Managing Director, SME and Distribution, Aviva, said, “Aviva has one of the widest geographical footprints in the UK. But we know that brokers want more face-to-face meetings and a greater underwriting presence. The opening of the Chelmsford and Southampton offices will deliver on this, making us more responsive and supporting our ambition to be the trusted insurance partner of choice. The office openings also build on our expanded presence in Newcastle, Birmingham and Manchester. Taken together, this is an exciting new chapter for the growth of our regional footprint and our ability to deliver better outcomes for our brokers and customers.”
