Ausure merges Tasmania operations

8 December 2022

Steadfast-backed Ausure will merge its Tasmanian offices and operations with its Authorised Representative, Strategic Insurance Services (SIS).

The move will see Ausure’s Hobart staff move to SIS’ office in Rosny Park, which will now host a combined staff of 14, headed by SIS MD Chris O’Neill.

Mr O’Neill’s SIS business partner David Reid is part of the merged business’ leadership team as Insurance Broking Manager, with Ausure’s Joanna King also on board as Business Operating Manager.

Ausure CEO Scott McCarthy thanked SIS management for the agreement, noting their long-term relationship with Ausure, which he says helped pave the way for the deal.

“I’ve known Chris and David for a very long time and am excited that we can do this together,” Mr McCarthy said.

“In addition to the usual benefits of a larger business, the merged business brings together some really complementary strengths that will place it in a great position to provide market leading service and advice to its clients.”

Mr O’Neill, who led SIS for 23 years, praised the “exciting deal”, saying that the “time is right to combine our strengths for not only business growth but also to bring on board additional experienced Ausure staff to ensure we can continue to service our clients at the level they are familiar”.
