Asteron Life has announced the appointment of Tony Arthur (pictured above) as executive manager for life distribution.

Grant Willis, who serves as the executive general manager for life at Asteron, said Arthur is distinguished by his considerable expertise in strategic leadership and distribution within the financial services realm, especially focusing on life insurance.

“Tony has a deep understanding of the New Zealand life market and coupled with years of experience in senior executive roles in retail banking distribution and marketing, he has a solid track record in strategic execution and building relationships,” he said.

Arthur transitions to Asteron Life from a leadership role at Partners Life, preceded by his tenure at BNZ, where he spearheaded retail, marketing, and distribution strategies.

“I’m looking forward to joining such a customer centric business, where delivering value is clearly at the heart of everything the team does,” Arthur said.

Asteron Life gears up for further growth

Arthur steps into his role during a phase where Asteron Life is capitalising on its notable growth in acquiring new business.

With Asteron witnessing a surge in its share of new business, Willis is optimistic about Arthur’s role in propelling further growth.

“I know our advisers and distributions partners will value Tony’s knowledge and breadth of experience, and our team will too. We look forward to him joining us,” Willis said.
