Aspen taps cyber risk management leader

Industry vet will head up company’s cyber risk management platform

Aspen Insurance Holdings has announced the appointment of Mike Rastigue (pictured above) as vice president of cyber risk management at Aspen Insurance. He will be based in the company’s Chicago office.

In his new role, Rastigue will assume global leadership of the company’s cyber risk management platform, which launched in 2019.

Rastigue has more than 20 years of experience in the field. Prior to joining Aspen, he served as vice president of cyber risk practice at Marsh and director of cyber solutions at Verisk. He has also held positions as a broker at RT Specialty and, most recently, as the cyber solutions team leader at Crum & Forster.

“I’m delighted that Mike has joined Aspen’s cyber team,” said Bobby Bianconi, head of US technology and cyber at Aspen. “We continue to invest in leading industry talent, and having Mike on board is a testament to our ability to continue delivering best-in-class service levels alongside proven technical expertise. His extensive background in cyber risk management further strengthens our guidance for brokers and their clients, and I am excited about the insights and deep sector knowledge that Mike brings to our global team.”

Rastigue is the latest addition to Aspen’s roster. Last week, the company announced the appointment of Robert Tartaglia as chief operations officer. Earlier this month, the company appointed John Welch as chief underwriting officer for reinsurance.
