Senior figure takes up new role in Australia and New Zealand

Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions has appointed Paul Grasso as the new head of treaty in Australia and New Zealand.

Grasso (pictured) has been an Aon colleague for 15 years. He first worked with Aon in June 2008 as a catastrophe risk analyst in the UK. In August 2013, he took on the role of treaty broker in the company’s Sydney operations.

In April 2016, Grasso moved to Hannover Re in Australia to take on the role of treaty underwriter. In October 2017, he moved back to Aon Australia to be the head of property before taking on the new role of head of treaty in Australia and New Zealand.

In a recent statement, Aon’s Reinsurance Solutions said: “We’re excited to announce that Paul Grasso has become head of treaty in Australia and New Zealand for Reinsurance Solutions.

“Bringing proven expertise to the role, Paul will support clients to optimise their capital as the reinsurance market finds itself on a more sustainable footing.”

The appointment comes after Aon strengthened its partnership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand by becoming its preferred professional indemnity (PI) member benefits broker for practitioners.
