Broking giant Aon has announced a reshuffle of some key Asia Pacific leadership positions within its Reinsurance Solutions division.

The reshuffle comes on the heels of Aon announcing in September that senior APAC reinsurance leader Jeremy Goodman is taking on the role of UK president for its Reinsurance Solutions business.

With Goodman departing the APAC region, his previous role of Reinsurance Solutions’ president of APAC will now be filled by Robert De Souza.

De Souza is currently Aon Reinsurance Solutions’ CEO of Australia and New Zealand and chairman of APAC.

He will move into the new President of APAC role from January 1st 2023 and will focus on supporting Aon’s clients across the Asia Pacific region, as well as driving strategic growth priorities for the business there.

With De Souza set to vacate his position, Aon is filling it with John Carroll, currently Aon’s Head of Treaty Australia and New Zealand for Reinsurance Solutions.

Carroll will step into the position of Reinsurance Solutions’ CEO of Australia and New Zealand and also join the Reinsurance Solutions APAC Executive Committee.

He will be responsible for leading Aon’s business in the region, delivering strategic priorities and helping cedents mitigate risk and access capital.

Both De Souza and Carroll will report to George Attard, Reinsurance Solutions’ CEO of APAC, who commented, “We are pleased to announce Rob’s and John’s new roles within our Asia Pacific team. They are both highly experienced and proven professionals, with the requisite skills to take business results and innovation to the next level, while helping our clients build resilience and navigate significant global and regional volatility.
