Aon has appointed Vincent Banton (pictured) as the head of Construction and Infrastructure for Asia, effective from Aug. 1.

In this role, Banton will be reporting to Paul Young, who serves as the head of Commercial Risk Solutions for Asia, and James MacNeal, the global industry specialty leader for Construction and Infrastructure (C&I). Additionally, Banton will become a part of the global C&I leadership team.

Based in Singapore, Banton will closely collaborate with local, regional, and global teams to formulate initiatives and deliver services to clients in the region. His role will focus on ensuring a seamless transition from project development to commercial operations.

Banton brings with him a wealth of experience spanning 23 years across the insurance and construction industries. According to his LinkedIn, he has previously held positions at Munich Reinsurance, Balfour Birse UK, Leighton Contractors Australia (CIMIC), and Broad Construction Australia. Prior to joining Aon, Banton worked at Zurich Insurance for the past five years, most recently serving as the national technical manager for Australia and New Zealand.

“We are thrilled to have Vincent on the Aon team. His deep experience in both the insurance and construction industries will further strengthen Aon’s capabilities to help clients make better decisions as they navigate the volatility and unpredictability of the market. We are excited to tap into Vincent’s strong understanding and insights to drive more synergy and continue to help organisations be better informed on the issues that matter,” Young said in a news release.
