ANZIIF reveals New Zealand industry award finalists

Report proposes 'self-funding' insurance model for export industries

The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has announced the finalists for this year’s New Zealand insurance industry awards.

AA Insurance, FMG, Tower and Vero are in the running to be crowned General Insurance Company of the Year, while Marsh and Runacres Insurance will vie for 2022 Large Broking Company of the year award honours.

Now in its 10th year, the 2022 awards celebration is to be held in person for the first time since 2019.

Over 300 people are expected at The Cordis in Auckland on November 30, where newsreader and presenter Hilary Barry will be Master of Ceremonies. Tickets are available here.

ANZIIF CEO Prue Willsford congratulated this year’s finalists on their outstanding professionalism and excellent submissions.

“We are celebrating how our industry has continued to support the customer, community, environment and its people, and the extraordinary achievements that have helped our industry thrive,” she said.

Here are this year’s New Zealand 2022 award category finalists:

General Insurance Company: AA Insurance, FMG, Tower, Vero New Zealand

General Insurance Claims Team: AA Insurance, IAG New Zealand, Southern Cross Travel Insurance, Tower, Zurich New Zealand

Life Insurance Company: Asteron Life, Partners Life

Insurtech Startup: InsuredHQ, Morgan Project Services (NZ), Sentro

Professional Services Firm: Ensure Recruitment, Finity, McLarens New Zealand, Sedgwick New Zealand

Service Provider to the Insurance Industry: Gallagher Bassett, IVAA, JB Hi-Fi Business, RedBook, Smith&Smith

Excellence in Workplace Diversity and Inclusion: IAG New Zealand, Marsh, Partners Life, Southern Cross Travel Insurance, Suncorp New Zealand, Zurich New Zealand

Finalists for Small-Medium Broking Company, Authorised Representative Network, Underwriting Agency, Insurance Leader and the ANZIIF Lifetime Achievement Award will be announced at the awards night event.
