The Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF) has launched a new series of free weekly webinars, aiming to address critical topics within the insurance and finance sectors.
“ANZIIF is in a unique position as we hold over 140 years of knowledge, so we can be seen as the industry’s ‘source of truth,’” ANZIIF CEO Katrina Shanks said in a news release. “These webinars were designed to provide our members with access to expert knowledge, enabling them to improve their competency and skills.”
Shanks also emphasised the forward-thinking nature of these webinars. “In addition to this, the webinars will focus on thought leadership topics, challenging insurance professionals to think more critically and explore opportunities and risks which will impact the sector in the future.”
The webinars are scheduled every Thursday from 12pm to 1pm AEST, covering a variety of topics relevant to the latest industry developments.
The upcoming webinars include:
Proximate Cause with AFCA – July 25: Chris Liamos from the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) will explore the concept of proximate cause, its relevance to insurance, and its practical applications.
Money Month: Learn the Best System for Managing Your Money – Aug. 1: Presenter Liz Kohl will provide insights on managing personal finances, including setting financial goals, maximizing savings, and understanding expenses.
Unlocking the Power of AI in Insurance – Aug. 8: Victor Jiang, transformative partner at Lighthouse Group, will demystify AI and discuss its potential applications in the insurance industry.
