Jacob Fuest (pictured) has been appointed as chief markets officer and management board member at Allianz Partners.

Having spent over a decade with Allianz Group, Fuest brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Most recently, he was at the helm of the business division for Western and Southern Europe at Allianz SE, covering Allianz Partners and Allianz Direct. His remit extended across multiple major entities within Allianz, where he was instrumental in driving transformation initiatives.

Fuest’s career at Allianz Partners has been marked by several key leadership roles such as head of market management and innovation, Allianz Partners Germany chief executive, and regional CEO for Northern, Central, and Eastern Europe. Before joining Allianz, Fuest held strategic roles in the automotive sector. In his new role, the group stalwart will lead business units across the globe to further drive Allianz Partners’ profitable growth.

The announcement by Allianz Partners comes hot on the heels of global head of product management and innovation for travel Joe Mason’s interview with Insurance Business. The former chief marketing officer talked about how travellers are becoming “more and more demanding in terms of expectations” and the need for insurers to keep up.

Allianz Partners CEO Tomas Kunzmann, meanwhile, commented on Fuest’s appointment: “It is a pleasure to welcome such a high-performing leader as Jacob back to Allianz Partners.

“His longstanding leadership experience and knowledge of Allianz and the Allianz Partners business, combined with his innovative mindset, put him in an excellent position to drive our local business units forward. I am confident that Jacob will successfully elevate the strong growth of our business globally to the next level, for the benefit of our partners and customers.”

Fuest shared his excitement as well, saying: “I am thrilled to return to Allianz Partners and lead our markets around the world at this exciting moment of change and transformation. Allianz Partners is known as the growth engine of the Allianz Group, and I am excited about further accelerating this growth journey jointly with an excellent team in more than 75 countries.”
