Alliant Insurance Services has added to its string of recent hires with the appointment of Abe Hawkins as vice president in the Alliant Americas division. Hawkins will be based in Portland, Ore., and will contribute to the expansion of Alliant’s presence in the Pacific Northwest.

Hawkins brings with him over 20 years of experience in the commercial property and casualty industry. His expertise lies in sectors such as construction, manufacturing, and aging services, with a strong focus on workers’ compensation.

“Abe understands that communication and client service are the cornerstones of any business relationship, and he strives to exceed the expectations of his clients in every situation,” said Bob Bennetsen, executive vice president and senior managing director with Alliant. “He knows the challenges businesses are facing today and has the insights and experience to help them achieve their goals.”

Prior to joining Alliant, Hawkins served as a senior vice president at a property and casualty insurance firm. He is a graduate of Portland State University.

Hawkins is the latest addition to Alliant’s growing roster. Earlier this month, Alliant announced the appointment of Jennifer Carl as a vice president within its employee benefits division and Jeremy Wright as a vice president within the Alliant Americas division.
