Alera Group swoops for Colorado firm

Alera Group has announced the acquisition of Insurance Benefits by Design (IBBD), a Colorado-based insurance agency. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“At IBBD, we have a passion for helping clients find the right insurance solutions to fit their needs,” said Cindy Petersen, CEO of IBBD. “Our team is dedicated to creating an informative and enlightening experience for our clients, and we pride ourselves on providing them with the peace of mind that only comes with knowing their family’s future and assets are protected.”

IBBD provides a spectrum of insurance-related services, including group and individual health, life, dental, vision and disability. It also offers business continuation planning across multiple states.

“IBBD partners with many different insurance carriers to offer their clients a variety of personalized insurance options,” said Alan Levitz, CEO of Alera Group. “Their client advocation, innovative thinking and constant collaboration aligns with Alera Group’s commitment to providing superior client service. We are pleased to welcome Insurance Benefits by Design to the Alera Group family.”
