National insurance and financial services firm Alera Group has acquired Texas-based agency HealthSure for an undisclosed sum.

Under the deal, the HealthSure roster will remain intact, with colleagues continuing to carry out their current functions serving rural healthcare organizations. HealthSure is the name behind the community program HealthConnect.

“We are excited to welcome Brant and the HealthSure team to Alera Group,” commented chief executive Alan Levitz, referring to HealthSure CEO Brant Couch. “HealthSure’s expertise in serving rural healthcare organizations aligns with our mission to provide uncommon value and opportunity to our clients.

“This acquisition strengthens our commitment to delivering exceptional solutions and support to the healthcare industry and reinforces our position as a leader in the market.”

Couch, meanwhile, highlighted the benefits of the transaction.

He said: “Embarking on this new chapter will enable HealthSure to further enhance our offerings and support for rural healthcare organizations.

“We are reinforcing our dedication to providing comprehensive risk consulting and insurance solutions tailored to our clients’ unique needs, ensuring they receive the highest level of service and protection.”

HealthSure was founded by Barry Couch in 1998.
