AIA NZ has recently announced the commencement of its new women in leadership program called HIKITIA MAI.

The six-month program involved 15 of the insurer’s own as it invests in the development and retention of the firm’s current and emerging female leaders.

According to a LinkedIn post, the participants will be encouraged and supported to build their professional brand, as well as define a clear sense of self and career direction. Participants will also identify and develop the skills and capabilities to step up, volunteer, negotiate, and perform with the needed confidence and resilience as the industry moves in an ever-changing environment.

The program was developed in partnership with Leaderful, alongside directors Jayne Chater and Sue Watson. In its post, Leaderful thanked both Faye Sanderson (AIA NZ head of learning and organisational development) and Susan Turcich (AIA NZ learning and development manager) for their roles in making the program happen.

“Susan Turcich a huge shout out to you for making this programme happen. Thanks to you and to Faye Sanderson for partnering with us and trusting us to go along this journey with you and the talented wāhine at AIA. #wearebettertogether,” Leaderful said in its comment.
