AGI announces CEO for IT business
The AGI Group (AGI) has appointed Colin McCabe, who has a wealth of experience in all aspects of IT and the financial services industry, as the CEO of its new IT business, AGI Technology.
McCabe brings over 28 years of IT industry experience to AGI Technology, having worked at numerous leading ANZ and international businesses and government entities, most recently as partner at IBM Consulting. He is also a recognised speaker and has published many articles.
Commenting on his appointment, McCabe said he is thrilled to join AGI, where he will leverage his vast industry experience to deliver innovative solutions to the group and its customers that will streamline insurance administration and processing.

McCabe joined AGI Technology after the AGI Group appointed Benno Lyakurwa as its new CEO.
Commenting on McCabe’s entrance to the group’s IT business, Lyakurwa said he expects the new hire to strengthen the group’s capacity to deliver the market-leading TPA services it is renowned for.
“Technology is an important part of our service proposition, and Colin is a welcome addition to the team. He will lead our IT team to strengthen our capabilities, particularly in creating digital solutions to complement our administration services,” Lyakurwa said.
