11eight partners with expert to help insurers manage CDR

17 April 2023

Advisory firm 11eight has partnered with Quill Peak Consulting to help insurers prepare for the upcoming Customer Data Right (CDR).

The 11eight team includes former MD General Partner of Firemark Ventures Ron Arnold, former COO and Deputy CEO of IAG Asia Aidan Pallister, and former IAG Australian Consumer Division CEO Anthony Justice. Its clients include Australia’s leading insurers.

Quill Peak is led by David Giddy, previously a Principal with Deloitte’s Payments Advisory Practice and a leader in understanding CDR and Open Banking.

Mr Arnold noted CDR comes at a time insurers face new regulatory requirements, claims cost inflation, increasing reinsurance costs, climate change-related pressures, legacy tech challenges, and disruption.

“Clients are struggling to deal with the day-to-day, let alone work through the many strategic threats and opportunities,” he said.

“Executives appreciate the fact that we have been in their shoes and intimately understand their challenges. We can quickly help them with a strategic dialogue needed to work out a practical way forward.

“The level of experience in our team is unique; we are hands-on and don’t ‘outsource’ the work.”

11eight also helps insurers in areas such as embedded insurance and innovation.
