Two wheelers are not as popular in America as they are in other parts of the world. As of 2011 there are an estimated 8.4 million registered motorcycles in the US. That’s about 1 for every 36 people. Part of the reason is that there are vast stretches of the US that motorcyclists have to stop riding for the winter.
