(NYSE: CIT) and Mutual of Omaha (Mutual) today announced a definitive agreement for CIT’s banking subsidiary, CIT Bank, N.A., to acquire Mutual’s savings bank subsidiary, Mutual of Omaha Bank, for a purchase price of $1 billion.
