What’s the point of a living benefits insurance?

I was looking into life insurance policies and saw something called living benefits insurance and I wanted some insight on if that's an essential addition. From what I've read, it's essentially for covering medical costs. And some insurance companies charge an interest on it since it's taken out of the benefit amount as a policy loan.

If you're covered by regular health insurance and have met the deductible, wouldn't the insurance cover the rest of the costs. Is it worth getting the living benefits added if you're covered by health insurance?

Has anyone here who has the living benefits policy used it? Also, what were your reasons for getting this as an additional benefit?

Also, are there any insurance companies that offer just the living benefits as it's own policy instead of an addition? Everywhere I've checked, it always an added benefit.
