What can we do if we found out my grandma has a second policy?

This has been weighing on my mind and am wondering if anything can be done.

My grandmother in law passed away this January. We found out very quickly that one of the cousins, who grandma raised as her own, was stealing money from her. Of course we were all very upset. This cousin went to grandma’s house the next morning after she died and took some stuff without our knowledge. When my mother in law went to get info about her life insurance, she was told that grandma had a second policy. We rummaged through all her belonging looking for the paperwork and never found anything. The insurance broker told us unfortunately he couldn’t give us any info on that second policy. I’m assuming no ones name was on it. I’m not really sure how it works.

Can anything be done so we can gain access to this? We believe the cousin took the paperwork knowing it’d be there and will cash in on the life insurance at some point. The policy we knew about didn’t honor the policy because the grandma lied about her health records knowing or unknowingly. Everything for the funeral came out of pocket of my in laws. Or is it possible the insurance people meant she “might” have a 2nd policy?
