A co-worker reportedly discovered Denise Prudhomme at her desk in a cubicle.
A Wells Fargo employee was found dead in the company’s office in Tempe, Arizona, last week — four days after scanning in on a Friday — local police confirmed, noting that a preliminary investigation didn’t indicate foul play.
A co-worker discovered Denise Prudhomme, 60, on Tuesday, Aug. 20, at her desk in a cubicle in a large office building that most employees don’t visit daily, as they work remotely, according to a local TV news report.
Office workers had smelled a foul odor but dismissed it as a plumbing problem, according to the report this week on WAND-TV, 12News, which cited an off-camera interview with an unidentified employee.
The Tempe Police Department confirmed in an email to ThinkAdvisor on Thursday that it responded on Aug. 20 after on-site security called about Prudhomme “and believed she was dead.” She was pronounced deceased at 4:55PM.
“We can confirm Denise was a Wells Fargo employee. Denise last scanned into the building on Friday at approximately 7 a.m. and there is no further scan in or out,” the police said.
“The preliminary investigation did not show any obvious signs of foul play,” the police said. ”We have no further information at this time as this is an on-going investigation.”
