Hello, Sorry to bother I am just unsure of what to do next and was hoping that someone might have some insight. A family member of mine passed away last month. Myself along with two family members received paperwork in regards to their life insurance policy from their work. One family member received the main life insurance, while they also had 2 voluntary insurances that was supposed to go to myself and my other family member. My paperwork is dated back in 2015 and I sent in my claim.

Both my family members have either received their claim or are waiting for it arrive, but I received a letter in the mail stating that I am not the primary for this account, even though I have the paperwork their job gave me stating I am the primary for that voluntary life insurance. I am unsure what I need to do now.

Could the paperwork have been changed and if so wouldn’t his job know about the change and not give me the paperwork? I left an voicemail with the insurance company specialist that sent me the letter, but I just wanted to see if anyone had any insight in this matter.

Thank you!
