Question Regarding Contestability and Breast Cancer

My wife's breast cancer came back a few years after original diagnosis, so we never were able to get proper life insurance coverage. We found out it had metastasized back in April 2022. It was relatively stable until last fall (September 2023) and now things have been snowballing a bit. It's obviously a devastating situation for our family (we have a five year old).

I started a new job in April 2023 and took out the maximum guaranteed issue optional life insurance for her through my employer ($25k). No need for any medical questions, and she obviously had metastatic breast cancer at that time. If it matters, this is through Guardian Insurance.

She started collecting Social Security Disability Insurance October 2023, and was officially let go from her job around that time. We converted her life insurance coverage from her job (which was equivalent to her salary – $90K) to whole life coverage through Prudential. There were no medical questions for this conversion. However, there were a lot of delays with mailing things back and forth. The paperwork notes it's a conversion, but it lists the in force data as 1/30/2024.

Paperwork for both policies mention two year contestability clauses. Things are looking pretty bleak and I'm trying to figure out future finances. Is there a pretty good chance that both of these policies are denied if she succumbs to her battle before the two year contestability clause is up? We're in Wisconsin, if that matters. Thank you for your help!
