MetLife Basic Life Insurance Suicide Clause

I receive $50,000 of "Basic Life" insurance at no cost to me from my employer. The policy is through MetLife.

When I go on the MetLife website, I am not able to find a detailed description of the policy terms. In the documents section, nothing shows up. I only saw where it says that death is covered for any reason (accident or sickness) in the FAQ section when I went to enter my beneficiary information.

I've been employed for a little over a month, so that could explain why a full description of the policy is not yet available. I see mixed information from the internet on whether or not group term life insurance (which I believe this policy is classed as) will have a 2-year suicide clause, or if it covers suicide as a cause of death at all.

Note that this is not the same as Accidental Death & Dismemberment insurance. I see that as a separate item on my employee benefits summary.

I can't exactly call up MetLife and ask. It's not very much money and I know it won't make any difference to my family. I just want to know if I should be putting the policy information in a place where they will have access to it.
