Looking for advice on NewYorkLife Insurance

So, I am thinking of getting a life insurance and the deal is that I have to pay 14K per year for 20 years and it covers me for the rest of my life in the event of death my surviving family will get a fat cheq. Is this a good life policy to take? I am thinking more in terms of retirement and death before my obligations to my family (wife and kids)
