Life Insurance for Grandfather

(20M) My (77M)grandfather has been my guardian almost all my life and as much as I hate to admit it he’s getting older. He’s taken care of us the best he could but I’m pretty sure no one is ever ready for your kids to drop your grandkids on your doorstep when your in your 60s.

As I said he’s done the best he can but we’ve been hovering slightly above dirt poor and possible homelessness all our lives. Our living situation isn’t the greatest as it is and I know if something does happen to him we’ll have to move but I just don’t have the money for that, as I will become my (14M)younger brothers guardian.

I’m looking for the best life insurance I can get for him with the highest payout we can get to make sure we don’t end up in the worst case scenario.

I know I might come off as sounding greedy or even heartless for making this post but all I can say is I have to make sure if anything happens I can care for my brother, and with the way it stands, if anything happens all he’s leaving us is his land and the few grand he stashes in his wallet. I don’t know if I’ll be able to keep up all the bills and taxes on the ground while also basically becoming a parent.

I can answer any other questions if need be, and I’ll also say he is a smoker because I do know that some places take that into account. Anyone that can offer any advice or recommendations is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
