Life insurance company question.
Hi everyone. Im not sure if this will be removed from the group. My father who had a stroke is being isolated from me by his sister who is evil. I haven’t seen him in 7 months. For the past 6 months I have paid his insurance bill because she cut of his card that was originally connected to his policy. Last year in December I called to pay the bill, and was informed by the supervisor that my aunt tried to make herself the beneficiary on his policy. However i asked a written statement from the company stating this for legal purposes, and was told they couldn’t give anything. However the time has come for us to go to court because my aunt filed false charges against me, so today I called and asked for the companies agent name + address to serve a subpoena for a statement and the recorded calls. The supervisor got on the phone denying that she told me my aunt tried to make herself his beneficiary. She even gave me a P.O. Box to serve them, saying that’s all she had to give while excluding the agent name (the address and agents name is online by the way).
My question is it illegal in the United states or Tennessee for association administrations and insurance agencies to share any type of information such as conversations had with other callers?
Im wondering why she disclosed to me about what my aunt did previously but is now denying the entire conversation and refusing to give the agents name and a real address?
